is there somewhere i can find an adapter that will plug into the microphone jack and allow me to use a 1/8' audio input cable (like a real microphone or ipod)?

Not that I know of. I thought you were asking for RCA at first. Why do you need that? Do you not want to use a DS Headset or somethin?

I may be a little late but there rly isnt any commercially available adapters
for the ds leaving the only option to make one on your own.

The only info I could find on an adapter lies in this website:

    http://www.milezero.org/index.cgi/gaming/s..._part_four.html

as the website implies the two pins are just one ground and another for signal

Hopefully that helps since there isnt much I can do

I'd suggest cutting up the wires for an existing headset. That way you get the right plug.
