This games needed an external hardware to work (plugged in slot 2). So if you hack the rom, you can boot and play it without the peripherical.

The problem here, is that the infra-red receiver is build into the card. So even if you hack the rom to skip the sync with "Activity Meter".. it will stay totally unplayable

most sites state this works/can be used on DSi which makes your SLOT 2 hardware theory is rubbish!

I'd like to see it implemented in homebrew! Think of the shit we could do with it! Accelerometer based electronic drum kits or raving rabbids style shake the controller up and down running things. You could mod them for loads of shit. You could replace the IR with a gba slot one.

That would be awesome I can just image those rabbids running all over the screen now.

See the circuit board with IR? That's the difference. And you can't hack that.

The beginning development was to use the GBA expansion cart for gathering data, but due to DSi doesn't have GBA expansio slot, the concept was scratch and came the IR.

Just to archive the games really. The same can be said for all the imagine games being dumped, i highly doubt that many people actually download those roms, yet still they are dumped.
