I'll take Gundam Mahjong +Zeta for my real (Japanese rules) mahjong any day, but if I HAVE to play Shanghai, I'll take Dragon Dance. It's pretty fun and the borderline derogatory Chinese chill music is nice.
Oh, and there's a PSP release. Not to bag on the PSP, but really? That's almost as ridiculous as Shanghai II: The Dragon's Eye for SNES. Touch-screen for the win.
