Gakken M is a publisher specializing in novels set in the Edo period. In this educational game, you seek employment in the court of a Shogun, but because it is such an important position, you have to win the approval from a group of “tutors”.

Your tutors are made up of all the famous names from this period and each of them specializes in one of the four areas that you have to be trained in. You will be given lectures in general daily life, sword training, geography and art. After taking the lectures, you are to participate in assessments and will be given a certificate by your lecturers if you pass.

So I guess it's interesting primarily for Japanese language or history undergrads with fluent Japanese
