atleast the 1st 5 tracks are the same as the US/UK versions.

EDIT:just checked with someone's haxed save.
they just got the US/UK version with ugly font and translated written text(that means english lyrics)

the funny thing is, guitar hero as a series does the huge majority of its sales in the US.

Just menu and tutorials have been translated to Japanese. Oh well, stick to US version then.
