ok well i tried it out late last night
well er. early early this morning you could say

well imo, i think the reg drawn to life might be better
sure, this is spongebob themed and all
but the art seems more abstract
and the gameplay probably as easy
if not easier

ive only played the first level though
maybe it gets better?

Hmmm. I bought the first Drawn to Life, thinking my kids (7 and 8) would like it...but I messed around with it first. I do like drawing the character (you can get pretty funky in the first one, dunno about SB), but I couldn't in good conscience give it them to play - I thought the platforming just sucked too much. Actually I showed it to them and they kind of figured out the sucky thing, too - eldest just finished TWEWY and the younger likes tony hawk games better.

ANYWAY, "easier" isn't so bad (we all liked princess peach) but "more boring, repetitive, and lamer" would be bad.

One specific thing I hated was how hard it was to tell where the hell you were - everything looked the same. I never got a clear impression of where I was in a level...actually...

Eh, why ramble. I guess I should look for myself.

I got around to trying it before I went to sleep.
It's terrible.
In protest, I drew everything as dicks and placed my furniture in the air where I couldn't reach it.

I'll agree with that point, but I just figured I wasn't far enough into the game to be used to the maps yet. I only tend to play a few games at a time, I got it as a birthday present so I took it for a test run and got through a level or two but it's queuing behind some other games before I sit down with it properly.

That being said, I was sold on the drawing part. And I love simple platformers anyway.

Spongbob seems like a strange choice, as long as it doesn't look like your character's clothes are falling off when they get hit in this one then I suppose it won't be too mentally scarring :S

I've also been waiting for this one. I liked Drawn to Life, and I love Spongebob(I'm just a big kid whose tv time is usually spent watching cartoons). So this seems like a good mix for me. Hopefully it's not a let down.

Been attempting one game at a time (and with a kid that's all I can do) but finally got round to this one.

Fount it boring, there are worse games out there but still didn't think its worth the time to play it. Kids under 14 might like it.

Hmm, that's weird, I can't even get to the first level... is there some sort of anti-piracy thing on this game?

Using an iTouch Flash Cart, if it matters...

People were telling me how good it was, so I'll post it here.

Boring game, Drawn to Life was better.
Scaling is annoyingly bad on your character.
The only thing I can think of that is great about this game, is that you can use paint can + eraser
As in filling an area with erase.

If the character is wider and square shaped, does that mean it's easier to draw cocks?
My cock character had no balls.

Edit: Meh, from the picture above it looks like the character is the same size.

D2L = Good
Spongebob = $*!*

Imagine just what will happen
Drawn to Life: Disney edition?
I dont want to see that

Id buy Drawn to Life: Metal Gear Solid edition =P
Or Drawn to Life: Grand Theft Auto edition!!!

Plus I wouldn't be caught DEAD with a Spongebob game on my R4DS even if it was Drawn to Life.
I hate that show

But I'm a fan of DTL >_
