    OK Here is the scenario:

    Psp version: Phat
Firmware before dropping: 5.00m33 (for sure 5.00 or above)
Pandora Battery: One (bought at dealextreme)
Have I unbricked a PSP before: Yes
Memory Card Size: 8gb (have unbricked with this card before)
    Extra PSP with CFW: Nope

What happed. My 1 year old daughter threw the PSP from the bed right on to the hard floor of the bedroom. I ran picked it up turn it on and black screen. "Well" I said. "It's just bricked. I'll unbrick it and no problem. I've done it before might as well do it again"

Well after several hours trying with Rains application and several others it doesn't want to work. With Rains and the Pandora Deluxe when I press ans hold the L trigger and insert the pandora battery turns on (green) and it just shuts off and nothing happens on the screen.

    Any body knows this issue?

I'd say if you dropped it, it might be broke, not bricked, there is a difference

probably broken screen, or something came loose inside. I'm positive it's a hardware problem and cannot be solved by unbricking methods

open it up and take a look inside

If it was the screen and since it has firmware 5.00 or above it when I connected the USB it would show on my PC, but it doesn't. By the way it is not the first case I encounter.

Remove the battery and try to power on, this happened to my brothers and that worked somehow...

sounds like the screen has broken to me my psp had that problem and I found that the connection to the psp for the screen was loose so it was an easy fix.

Oh no my 1 year old daughter threw my PSP onto a hard floor. Good thing I know the PSP is invincible and it MUST be an error solvable by the pandora and not in any way related to the possibility of the screen breaking due to the shock. [IMG]

PSPs break EASILY. I'm sure it would break even if you just dropped it a meter straight down onto vinyl flooring.

Software brick and hardware problems are different. Does it power on (power light, no screen)? If so it's the screen, otherwise you'll probably need a new PSP.
