Gaming Drive swap question

Ok, I went out and bought my lil bro a 360 for Xmas cuz he keeps bugging me about it. Anyway, I already know he wants free games like me so I was gonna flash it so itd be ready to go on Xmas. Anyway, it has a LiteOn drive in it. I was wondering, I have my old BenQ that is already flashed but the 360 was banned. Instead of hitting up ebay to find a BenQ to replace it with, could I just take the drive outta my banned box, change the key, and use it for the drive swap?

Kool. I thought maybe with the box being banned that the drive would somehow be banned too. Guess not

Nope lol. I have only flashed BenQs and a couple Hitachis for my friends. Never performed a drive swap before. Never thought I'd actually have to do one until now lol.

I (well, a dude) spoofed my lite-on to a BENQ off ebay: God knows where that BENQ originally came from, coulda been a banned 360, coulda been a RROD 360.

I dunno but it works fine
