I've never seen any kind of setup like that for the DC. I'm pretty sure that using a VOIP modem like that won't let you actually dial up to the internet on the DC.

But keep in mind that this may not even work, you'll have to buy a USB modem online, and you may or may not have to build a line voltage inducer.
