I have only tested in the US version. But I assume the addresses for the EU version are in the same place.
Change the name of the Folder that contains the plg file to this "000400000018F100" (WITHOUT the Quotations) THe # i just gave you is the Title ID of the USA Region version..
I can also confirm that doing this will make it function flawlessly.. Well so far anyway... I have only played with the cheats ON for about 5 minutes... Just long enough to make sure they functioned properly but that was it....
Also a good way to tell that the plugin worked is after you open BootNTR and then open the game you want... When you open the game while the top Screen says 3DS the screen will Blink an unmistakable green color (Least for my New 2DS XL anyways) If you see the green flash you know it worked! If you do NOT see it, then you know you messed up somewhere...

In order for me to get the plugin working here's what i had to do...
Every single USA version of the plugin i found did NOT function... So i went ahead and downloaded a European version of the plug in... Then all i had to do was Rename the folder that contains the plg file to 000400000018F100 That # is the USA Title ID which i guess tricks the game into accepting the plugin... /shrug I'm not sure however i am positive this method works! I literally just installed it and im using it right now!
I know this is an old game but I'm still looking for some better codes.
First off, I can confirm the "Enemies Always Drop Items v1.0" code does indeed work for every enemy....except the Dead Bowdy for some reason. I know it only drops a Seed of Strength but I'm a completionist with terrible luck when it comes to drop rates.
Second, is there a way to improve @twhprox 's code? It overwrites bag item slots 2 through 30. I did this for a new playthrough but I also encountered a problem - if I wanted multiples of any item I had to stash them on Hero and Yangus and sell basically everything I owned and even then I had to make the choice to only get multiple copies of the Healie items and Metal Slime items. Can this code be changed to give 6 of each item so every character has their own set? On a side note, the only way to get the game to register these items as collected in the item collection is to remove every copy from the Bag into someone's inventory and then put them back into the bag. Don't know if that can be abridged but in case anyone had trouble with that I found that little workaround.
Alternatively, Dragon Quest 9 for the DS had a code I used that temporarily replaces a certain town's shop inventories with DLC items. Can something like that be done here for 8?
EDIT: Just confirmed the item drop code doesn't work on the Morrimp either. The Dead Bowdy and Morrimp are two of the new monsters that only appear if you kill 30 of another monster but for some reason a similar monster, the Creme Caraslime, is affected by this drop code normally, I get a Seed of Life every time I kill it. These two have drop rates of 1/8 for their item so it isn't too annoying but I hope the code will work on the others, especially if any have any 1/256 drops.

I know this is an old thread but is there any way to integrate the speedfly's cheats into the one in this thread.
There's not much of a difference, but the plugin in this thread is missing some features that the speedfly file has, such as modifying the number of mini medals manually, or increasing the quantity of items you already have without adding every single item in the game at once (I think). I ask this cuz my problem with using the speedfly file is that it crashes my game, A LOT.

unless they have the source from the speedfly set. there isnt a way of getting those codes to add to this.
are there infinite hp and infinite mp in-battle codes for this game? If not, I would like to make a request for someone to make them please?
