Dragon Quest IX Delayed Until July
Square Enix Pushes Release Back

Bad news, RPG fans. The long-awaited 'Dragon Quest IX' for the Nintendo DS has officially been delayed by Square Enix. They announced the unfortunate delay in a recent press conference, and told us that the new release date will be July 11th, 2009. According to Square Enix, the delay is due to "a number of bugs that were discovered during the testing process". However, many speculate that the game was delayed in order for Square Enix to change or reinforce the piracy protection.

Boo! This was the first Dragon Quest since 3 (not counting the DWM games (not counting Joker)) that I wanted to play.
Oh well, hopefully they're fixing bugs, and not wasting their time with nonsense piracy protection.

They'd be foolish if they really delayed that just to improve piracy protection. Highly doubt that bit of speculation.

Bugz might be the reason of this delay,
If they delay it for a copy protection that will obviously last some hours or even days they are stupid.
