Gaming dragon quest heroes

I mean.. I'm sorry.. But it's DRAGON FREAKING QUEST!

Do you even -have- to ask. I mean even as strange as Hyrule Warriors story was.. it had a story.. Hell.. Has any of the Dynasty Warriors games -ever- not had a story?

From what I can tell, it has a story, but the vast majority of the game is similar to Dynasty Warriors. So if you were hoping for something similar to the RPG games, you won't really find it there.

I never really understood the appeal of the dynasty warriors games and their spinoffs. I always thought the massive battles and stuff were cool when I first saw one of the games on ps2, but I found that when I played it, it was kind of boring.

There was an old game on the first Xbox; I don't remember what it was called, but it had something like "The Crusaders" in the title. I thought it did a much better job with the dynasty warriors formula. It was actually more tactical and way more challenging. It also had a heavy metal soundtrack, which is pretty cool to me. Sadly, it also was one of the games that wasn't compatible with the 360.

Because everyone has played Hyrule Warriors and Dynasty Warriors? It's a fair question for someone to ask if they're a DQ fan but haven't played any of these sorts of games before.

Every DW is sluggish ,slow and lacking in visual. On the other hand, DQH does everything that a musou game should do. It's fast paced, it sounds good, it's visually appealing and it plays great.(The story is cheesy thou). Personally, i think that DQH is the best Musou game out there. Clocked 16 hours so far and this is coming from a musou hater(ex now lol)

I'm slowly but surely becoming more interested in the ps4. It might be the only system I get this time around.

I think we might be getting the second game as well. DQH1 kinda looked like a testing grounds for the series. It ended up on PC, too which is kinda crazy.
