ROM Hack Dragon Quest 7 English files for android game?

Does anyone know if it is possible to take some of the English text files or folders in the 3ds game and dump them? For Android the files for text are doc files. So my feeling is that you could take the English text and replace the Japanese text and the game would be in English.
