Gaming dpad problem

i had this nds lite but my dpad not working anymore.
it not clicky as used to be.
should i just fix the rubber myself or buy another button rubber and replace the old one?

DS Lites D-Pads were never clicky in the first place
And is it still working? If so, what's the point?
