Maybe try the release build. It's worth a shot. What keys do you have?
I built all of them just to keep it simple so the 4 mentioned in the readme. I'll have to give the release build a try tomorrow, maybe there's something with that or my keys maybe somehow. I mean the h&s itself has been the same version since back in firm 9.2 so it should work still no problem. I'll look into I more tomorrow on my dev pc. Thanks guys.

What exactly would be required to make this work on emunand > 9.2? Is it just that no current CFW provides a way for homebrew to get ARM9 access or are there other reasons why it wouldn't work?

I just restored a pre-a9lh sysNAND just to get a selftest reference, lol. Now that i'm back to a9lh, i'm failing 3 selftests when running D9 from it. One of them was secure4 or something. I thought i had all 5 keys in the working directory. What do i need to pass all of them?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just rebooted my 3DS real quick to get the exact names of the tests i'm failing, and now suddenly i'm failing 4 tests. What?

So, the current failure tally is:
ncch_7x_key
ncch_sec4_key
nand_twl_key
nand_ctrn_key

Let's hope that i don't fail an additional test for every reboot i do now

I have three keys at the root of the SD card.

Is it possible to create ncchinfo.bin for a cartridge dump on the 3DS itself? It's a bit cumbersome having to swap the SD card back and forth to get XORpads for Simple CIA Converter.

Apologies if this is answered somewhere, I couldn't find it.

Okay, @bakterio, here is what you do:

Grab my alpha build of GodMode9 from here:
http://workupload.com/file/lqZrdozu
(Don't write anything to or delete anything from your SysNAND!)

Enter this folder in EmuNAND CTRNAND (4:):
4:/title/00040010/00022300

In this folder, delete the first .tmd file you find. Now reboot to your EmuNAND. Does H&S still work? If not, restore your EmuNAND backup and try again with the second, then with the third and so on. In the end, you should have deleted all tmds that have no effect on the system, meaning only one tmd will stay.

After you have done this, inject H&S -> working!

Hi d0k3,

I tried this yesterday and it worked as you said. There where 2 tmd files (one with capitalized letters). I deleted the first one and, as the emunand boot with H&S working I injected the FBI. All seemed to work but after the second time setting the console (after using tinyformat) it got stucked. I tried it twice and finally formated a new emunand (with multiemunand ultility) based in my nand backup in 7.1. After that the injection and format of the systems worked ok.

Thanks and regards.

i dont even know where i'd find em, the readme jsut has text all over the place
https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP#support-files
  • slot0x05keyY.bin: This file is needed for access to CTRNAND features (which is basically everything) on N3DS when running from A9LH.
  • slot0x25keyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt 7x crypto NCCHs and CIAs on O3DS < 7.0 and on A9LH.
  • slot0x18keyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt Secure 3 crypto NCCHs and CIAs on O3DS and on A9LH.
  • slot0x1BkeyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt Secure 4 crypto NCCHs and CIAs in every environment.
  • seeddb.bin: This file is needed to decrypt seed crypto NCCHs and CIAs. Note that your seeddb.bin must also contain the seed for the specific game you need to decrypt.
is this what you need?

Would it be possible to use a 1280MB emuNAND on a console with a 1888MB NAND size? The extra space is not actually used or addressed, right?

With RedNAND (only via E9 atm) only. You'd need to use either CakesFW or AuReiNAND for this and you'd also have to resize the partition yourself. You can use Partition Wizard (on PC) for this. If you do it, let me know how it goes.

Adding to this: you can make it even smaller than 1280MB - even that is not fully used. And if it works I'll code something into E9 / D9 for everyone.
