Hacking Downgrading

Downgrade is unstable on N3DS.

Well I'm on 9.9 and I have an O3DS. But I'm gonna screw shit up and I know it. I don't even know where you get the downgrade files. And which ones to download.

Why O3DS?

There's a much smaller chance for a brick, provided you do everything right.

I also just downgraded a 9.9 O3DS. Just make sure you have the right files (Should be 126 cia files) and you should be fine.

It should be a zip with a hundered and something cia files.

Okay but is there a good up to date tutorial? Which one did you use? Because I'm willing to try it out.

My bad, just make sure you have the right region and firmware. Someone posted the md5 for all of the correct update files. Check and compare yours if you want to be absolutely certain.

Damn, i'm so tempted to try to downgrade my n3DS. KTM won't do any better for all i'm seeing and i don't know if the devs are looking into the N3DS instability.

Yeah if you have N3DS, wait. Peopel have succeeded, but the brick rate is much higher.

I think you can safely downgrade now. I downgraded both my New and Old 3DS, no bricks!

I'm quite worried about Ninty releasing 10.4 anytime soon with all the stuff fixed. If that happens, the downgrade will be a one-shot thing and that's so fucking scary.

Personal opinion I guess.

What would you rather?

1. if it fails, either high chance of brick or you try again.
2. Very low brick chance, but if it fails, you're stuffed.

Not really a one-shot thing. More like you have one attempt to downgrade. If you fail and you are soft bricked, you can use recovery mode to fix it but you will no longer be able to downgrade (if Nintendo patches it ofc).

9.2 but also for your region.

You cannot change regions with sysUpdater. It will brick.
Also get the one for your 3ds type (Old or new) otherwhise, a brick says hi.

Yeah but there are also people who think that KMT is a huge piece of (BEEP, censoring :3).

Because it's not done yet. JustPingo himself, the developer, even said not to use it yet. If you use it and brick, it's entirely your fault.
