Homebrew Downgrade Question: Is It Safe?

If my brother purchases a 3DS thats any firmware sub 11 its fine to downgrade yes?
I plan to setup A9LH on it and dont want him to waste his money, (With ninjhax as my way in, or OotHax but i prefer ninjhax)
There are no restrictions with certain things, like using the web browser when you need to update that might mess up the process? or as long as its sub 11 its fine to downgrade like I did my other 3DS (10.7, before 11 came out)

Updating/Downgrading without a hardmod works from 4.0 to 10.7. You'll need a hardmod on 11.0. Keep in mind that accessing the homebrew menu without games works only on 9.0-10.5. Any other than that will need a game to exploit.

Are you sure there aren't any other partitions on it?
Are you sure the SD card is legit?

No, downgrading is patched on 11.0. A9LH works if you follow the guide from beginning to end.

Make sure you follow the guide 100% step by step, not just downgrade to 9.2.0 instant to 2.1.0 and install CFW. You need to make backups and install certain stuff which is all described in the guide.
