yeah , that would be great.
And besides,i´ve seen people asking for a wii version of wolfenstein 3d,but if you have a doom engine,there's a remake of wolfenstein as a doom2 mod.
@noONE : i'm talking about doom/doom2

So.. you mean the DOOM 1 engine..
well, i guess that's quite easy, tho it still requires some work..
so you'll have to wait for some interested dedicated programmer to do 'your' work.

you could use the shitty SNES versions, or even the gameboy advance versions of Doom 1 and 2. A good Doom-legacy port would be awesome

it's not "my work" since i know a lot more people would be interested in it.
@killplaystation: a legacy port or a skulltag port,would own

I've been contemplating porting the Doom Engine they used on the DS to the Wi for a while now. I just know once I get started people will continually hound for new features, and that takes all the fun I get from programming and turns it into a full-time job that I don't have time for. Now if there were people who would be willing to help with the port so I wouldn't have to spend all day doing it I might pick it up. Would be my first Wii port, done quite a few PSP and Xbox ports so I cannot see a difference in difficulty level. I'll probably have a lot of scrap code you could remove by the time it's done but more code doesn't hurt.... just less is better.

That's asking for trouble. N00bs trying to install Doom wads with the WAD Installer...

Oh.. that will be a complicated readme file.. "After installing your DOOM WAD file, put your WAD files on your DOOM directory"
