Hardware Does this USB work with the Wii U.

It should do. You might need a Y-splitter/dual USB cable to power it from the Wii U, as the console doesn't provide enough power for most portable drives from just one USB port so you need to draw from them both. I wouldn't say the deal seems too good to be true though, considering you could get a 1tb drive (4x the capacity) for $50 (less than 2x the price).
