Hacking Does the NAND backup fire necessarily have to be on the root of SD card or I can out it somewhere else on my pc

I'm helping a friend set up his hacked switch but i noticed when I back up the NAND it doesn't leave him with much space for games, is it possible to leave it elsewhere on my pc or a USB
