Whenever I turn on my new Nintendo 3ds xl the screen stays black, but when I go to system update the screen lights on. Does somebody know what's wrong with it and how to fix it?

What exactly do you mean by "go to system update"?

Did you install CFW on this unit? Was it working before? Did something happen before it stopped working?
