I have just set up a r4i 3ds deluxe card which is working fine except my pre installed Mario kart game seems to have disappeared.

is this right?

No, it's not supposed to....

You can redownload it from the eShop. Go into it, scroll left, find account stuff, redownload.

Edit-I'm stupid. Did you update to get into eShop? I thought you were talking about emuNand....

Wait, how is this possible if the R4 team hasn't released fw that's compatible with 7.1 fw? (which means no eshop access) Are you using the gw fw on the R4i to do this?

I don't know about the eshop thing.
im new to all this- its my wifes 3ds and she only got it yesterday.

she is using it at the moment so will look for the eshop later.

basically I got the r4i card working, then noticed the pre installed Mario kart had gone

I don't know what im using to be honest lol.

I just downloaded latest wood kernel and the 3.0 firmware

it wont let me open eshop without doing a system update.

could the pre installed game have been on the sd card that came with the 3 ds?

I formatted that to put the firmware on.

also if I have deleted a file I should have kept on the 3ds sd card, can I copy the files from one of my kids same Mario kart installed 3ds (which they also got yesterday) back onto the sd card with the r4i firmware on?

Yeah, it was on that SD. There's no way to get it back, sadly.

If you backed up the 3DS's sdcard, you can just copy everything back. However, you can't copy the files from someone ELSE's SD.

thanks for the heads up.

I have got 2 more r4i deluxe cards for the kids 3ds which also have preinstalled games on.

shall I copy the files on sd card to computer, then format and put firmware on sd card, then put the files I saved back onto sd card with the firmware aswell?
