I finally got my Wii U working with RedNAND using an SD card. Now I’ve been trying to mod it with Wafel so I can use a USB hard drive, but no matter what I try, I can’t get it to work properly.

Either everything ends up being installed on the SD card, or everything is on the USB HDD but nothing shows up on the Wii U’s main menu.

What am I doing wrong, and what’s the correct way to set this up?

You can already use the USB HDD like normal with redNAND. You don't need anything extra.

What exactly is your goal? If you want everything on the USB with no SD, you would need to use USBMLC.

To add Aroma to your redNAND setup, you can just follow the instructions for installing Aroma in the ISFShax guide. If you want to use the wafel installer instead, you would just use it like normal to install the homebrew to the SD and connect the HDD later

So you want to tell me that i can run rednand using my usb hdd instead of the sd card that acts like my nand since i have hynix broke nand then i can easily go to wafel.zzz to put aróma on?

First what is your goal. Do you want to keep the SD with redNAND or do you want everything on the USB?
If you want to keep the SD, what do you want in the USB? Just Wii U games or also Wii games?
