I'm still not completely sure how this all works. There seems to be so much conflicting info all over the place about..everything really. So basically, I own Xenoblade Chronicles 2 + DLC and Super Mario Odyssey currently. Both in physical cart form. If I was to dump the games to my SD card so I didn't have to consistently swap out carts, is that risky? Does the Switch just think you're still play off the cart? Because I don't have the digital downloads tied to my account, which worries me.

Well that shouldn't be a problem then. Because these dumps are from legit carts that I own and no one else has access to. I mean maybe I'll sell the carts to Gamestop for 2 dollars a pop eventually, but I'm sure I'll be done with the games by then.
