This happens about 1/3 of the time... I put the SD back into the R4 and the sd cardjust comes right back out again. Ill try to push it back in again, and after about ten attempts, it will work again. Is this a normal thing? or is it a faulty batch?

Its not much of a problem, im just afraid that it might one day not work altogether.

Thanks!

ats what ive been doing, Pressing it in real slow until i hear it 'click' and then just letting go. i was just wondering whether anyone else had this problem.

you could put it in real slow, but rather, try this, as i also found out my microSD is a little stubborn:

make sure you squeeze the two sides of the R4 card where you slot in the microSD. i found out that when you squeeze them and then insert the card, the card gets inserted without popping out. maybe it work for you?

thats cuz the spring is probably damaged. Th R4 doesnt have very good springs inside. eventually its going to stay like that but i would use a little bit of scotch tape to make it stay in and it works

or you can remove the spring but i dont know how to do that

(sarcasm) Yes its a faulty batch and in 7 days it will ignite on fire and if you complain to the r4 team, they kill your family(/sarcasm)

in all seriousness-ness, just put the tf card in slowly

or be like me and get it sprung out into my cpus fan:(

Thaks for help.

I know you can take the R4 casing off, but i dont have a small enough screwdriver.

In any case, if it does completely break, then ill just put tape on it like nels said

It's a common problem with the R4. Mine does the same thing. I've found that squeezing the R4 case a little helps as you insert the microSD for it to click louder and lock a little more solidly.

Some would suggest removing the spring, but I would avoid doing that for as long as you can. Use that as a last resort only if the card refuses to ever lock into place.

[sarcasm]The stupid n00b speaks again! The stupid n00b still can't find the 'stickied' FAQs thread with all the answer![/sarcasm]

It's a good thing mine's not broken yet... It's only been 3 days though, so I'll have to wait and see. Anyway, I'm careful when getting it out and in, so it won't break easily.

OK, so im a stupid n00b. you can take the p**s outta me all you want but incase you havent noticed, i havent caved in.

And ive had mine since last sunday. I think it broke on the first day because i was abit heavy naded with it because i was so excited.

Ok, I'm getting a little confused here by all the abbreviations but I think I got it...

r4 = lady
sd = private

All this talking about breaking r4's has gotten me worried about mine o_O From now on I'll be putting my sd in my r4 gently. My condolences to those with a micro sd. Your r4's must not be too happy about that!

I didn't criticize you that it's your fault your R4 is broken. But it is definitely your fault that you create countless topics asking questions that can be found in the 'STICKIED' FAQs thread.

If I see one more thread you make with a question that's in the FAQs...

Two weeks to two months and yours will be as thomasroberts6 described.
