Hi, I’m having a problem with my hacked original Nintendo 3DS. When I press the power button, the blue LED stays on for a few seconds, and then the system shuts down with a clicking sound in the background; this happens when the SD card is inserted. However, if I remove the card and turn it on, the LED stays lit for only a second before turning off without any sound.
Previously, whether the SD card was inserted or not, pressing the button would cause the LED to stay on for only a second before simply turning off. This was an issue with the Luma3DS hack; I updated it, and the problem was resolved—it started up normally after that.
But one night, I left it installing some games via the internet using the FBI app; I left it downloading the games while plugged into the power. When I woke up in the morning, the console was off but still charging. However, when I turned it on, the problem I mentioned earlier occurred: the LED would stay lit for a few seconds before the console shut down with a clicking sound. This only happens when the SD card is inserted; without the SD card, it simply shuts down a second after the LED lights up—just as it did before I updated the hack.
1.- I already tried using a different SD card with only the `boot.firm` file, but when I turn it on, it reacts as if there were no SD card inserted.
2.-I looked it up online and found that the speaker flex cable might be the issue; I replaced it, but the problem persisted. I can't rule out that I did something wrong with the flex cable or that there is another hardware issue.
3.- Before leaving the games to download overnight, I went through a process to make the 3DS boot up without the SD card inserted; I didn't actually verify whether it had worked or not—it just turned on, so I went ahead with downloading the games.
I don't know what else to do—if someone could really help me, at least before taking it to a repair shop.
