Hacking Does AceKard 2i really have that many problems?

Lately I have been seeing alot of topics on how there Acekard is not working or how there having problems. Whats wrong with this card. There was no topics like this before I ordered my Acekard only after. I'm unfortunately still waiting for mine to come( 18 days in counting

).

The Acekard software is almost bugless and it isn't likely you'll ever run into problems with the firmware freezing on its own (except with buggy themes).
Almost all the problems that people post topics about are caused by contact issues. Contact issues usually come with the aging of any cart, but for some reason they're really common among acekard2i's.
It's pretty much guaranteed that the only possible problem you will ever run into with an acekard is a contact problem, which is 90% solvable with the paper trick.

im also waiting on my acekard 2i to come, i orderd on 8th May, its been 8 days.

I've had my AK 2i since last summer and it works great. It just sucks because I don't see very may firmware updates to get the newer games working. Which then I have to resort to finding game patches or patched games. That's ok though because if my AK 2i don't play the game then my M3DS Real or CycloDS will.

i think its the matter of luck and batches you receive

there are some contact issue on my lite but this also applies to all other flash cart
otherwise, 2 of my ak2i simply just gets the job done

Anyways, the acekard 2i is just barely the wrong physical size so it is indeed mostly contact issues. I put some tape on the back of my cart as a permanent fix.

Hardware problems seem to be the most frequent issues. My one that I recently ordered from Shoptemp, came with a faulty microSD spring loader. Seems to happen every so often to people. You need to either send it back, or open the card and do a DIY job on it.

Nah. Other than the contact issue which is easily fixed, everything is okie dokie.

Also, instead of using the spring loader, use it once and then pull the SD card out each time. Someone recommended that here and it seems much safer.

it doesnt have many problems, maybe some if miss used, but not alot of problems
it probably has the least amount of problems compared to other flash carts

I'd call the giant bad batch of AK2's I pretty big problem. Good thing it's being addressed. Keep in mind all cards have some type of failure rate. The AK does seem to fit a little loose. I suppose that could lead to the contact issues some people report but the most I've ever had to do is reinsert my card every once in awhile.

I use a DS Lite and no contact issues, so I think that problem must be with the DSi's

this though after leaving the AK2i in the DSi slot with paper behind it the issue fixed itself (most of the time anyway i still get a not so common freeze here and there but i usually when i shake,move around with the DSi)

Acekards are very reliable, my AK2i works great. It's just people being a bit dipsy.

Cut a piece of paper the size of the acekard cart and slide it between the acekard sticker and the DS when you put it in.

Or just refer to this guide..

Don't know why the mods won't just sticky that freaking guide, it's amazing and it solves basically all the acekard problems that people make new topics for.
