Yeah listening to yourself on a recording is....odd....
Doesn't sound anything like what you hear in your head.

When I speak mine sounds fine, but when I hear it from a recording. I don’t dislike it, it’s just weird to hear. It sounds wayyy too deep to me....

..... For instance, and how’s this for an insult. I was watching Batman a few weeks ago, my wife came downstairs and asked who I was on the phone with. My answer, no-one, it was ¥%*! Bane in the film. Bloody cheek.

When you hear your own voice you hear it via bone conduction and air conduction - that's why it sounds different than on a recording - which is air conduction only.

But everyone else hears you by air conduction only so a recorerec is how you sound to other people.
