Do you like LED lit keyboards?

I guess they've got a use in low lit environments for users who don't know how to fast type, but I'm not in that group. I hardly ever look at my keyboard anyway, so why bother pimping it in any way.

It's not the same but when our television was new, it had a backlight on by default. I turned it off because my pc that was placed directly next to it was almost impossible to use (well... It distracted like hell). Girlfriend claimed she lived out, but hadn't turned it on since we moved houses nearly three years ago.

I'm not a fan. My current laptop has backlit keys but I don't know how to turn them on, or if I even have the software I'd need to do it. They labels on my keyboard don't match my configured keyboard layout, so anything that's going to make me look at the keyboard is not going to help.

Well yeah, it makes the keys easier to see, so to me it's a no brainer.
If you find the lights distracting, set them to white and low brightness? I hardly look at my keyboard, only when I need to type a symbol I can't reliably press by feel alone, so I don't see an issue.
