Really what is the point of connect24? its completely useless...
Nintendo promised so much with it, and then suddenly stops using it.

Great deal you can get mail while its off... and? Where is the updates for software? Where is a game where i can let it in my Wii while connect24 is on and it USES it?

Elebits had on the cover saying it uses Wiiconnect24.... yeah...right

edit: oh yeah... mines always off, no use turning it on i dont care about getting "mails", i use my computer for that

stays off...no use in having it on.

i dont really care to get mail threw it, and i dont play it to often anymore since i got my 360.

its a known fact that they overheat on standby and this will damage the graphics card and give you lines on the tv, you then need to send your wii back to nintendo for repair. not good if you got a chip in it!

Always on for me, mine's a launch day wii (UK launch), havn't had any problems with it since, apart from audible disc drive reading (which i reckon is normal?).

Also, it does get rather warm, i was a bit skeptical about it since the fans are off too... but eh.. it hasnt died on me yet.

my Wii is turned off by the mains when not in long term use, but otherwise the wifi 24 connect is left on, some channels won't run without it so i have to leave it on.

Well not really just look at the amount of people that were convinced their launch day 360 would never fail.

I still have my launch day 360, and it works perfectly

Yes but are you convinced it will stay that way with a normal usage pattern

I always turn mine off now since my Wii is also victim to the artifact problem

It's tolerable for the most part though, and less apparent when the unit is cool, or in cooler conditions (i.e winter!)

I leave it on. Launchday Wii modded. I do however have two fans. One in the back and one under =)

well i leave it always on but since I hardly leave it in standby it does not matter much p

usually i turn it off (red light) every night
