Hacking Do we even need team salt's exploit at this point?

It seems unnecessary now. Since the Wii U is already fully hacked. We can already run backups, homebrew, emulators.
It might be not necessary, but you don't really know what is all they have at this point.
And one more thing, there is never enough exploits or workarounds when it comes to homebrew, so any documentation or software they bring to the table is welcome.

I cant believe so many people actually thought they would. To the point where they were dissing the work of the devs that actually released stuff.
I cant believe someone actually started a whole thread and named the people in salt like they were gods! actually if I google it I might find it... or maybe not now! and I do recall the actual names in the list that had any development background or knowledge to them made it publicly known that they had nothing even to do with salt.

At least with the exploits that were released, you don't have to change file permissions or anything else "unsafe" like that ...

i still want to see hykems work ,now the switch is announce shouldnt we see more stuff being shown ?

I actually hope they release it. It would be cool to have another use for it. Then again, it's good they hold on to it. Just incase Nintendo does a move and for some reason release an update for the Wii U (Who am I kidding right?)

While not entirely SALT Team, Woominstaller GX2 requires that the permissions for a certain shader be changed to r/w for all apps.

still don't know how to do that lol

Yeah....though that's only because of the way it was coded. If you wanted to, you could replace the fs functions to use iosu...

Then what constitutes as being fully hacked?

This
PSP-style installable CFW. As in, install once, it autoboots into cfw, etc.

And also being able to use FAT32 drives similar to the Wii would be good for me. A CFW would likely get the job done. Right now all we have is cold-boot sig patching which is great (I'm not even using it atm), but having to download games, copy them to sd, then install from sd to hdd is a bit bothersome. Took me roughly 20+ hours in total to get everything I wanted installed to external when on the Wii/vWii it takes only as long as the download and copy operations from my computer to get games working.

And yes I'm a pirate, arggghhh, and no this is not the thread to discuss morality in case anyone tries to pull that in a reply or quote.

Actually, Dimok's MOCHA lcfw is getting fat32 support very soon, he says he's already got it working and it just needs polishing.
