Please please please stop trying to install coldboothax, in its current state its a terrible implementation and is worse than quick start please please please use that instead.
It saddens me to see two new people added to the brick list http://www.wiiubru.com/rip by trying the terrible coldboothax. Whatever you do do not use coldboothax please. Thank you for listening

I say it all the time for many years, don't mess with stuff you don't know about properly, which are also poor implementations. Otherwise suffer the consequences, as it's on you.

Yeah, it sucks to trash your system but patience goes a long way (95% of users don't have it) and wait until a better and more stable and solid method is available. Like the other guy said @PagaN Loadiine and USB install is decent enough for now, so stick with that.

coldboothax in it s current state is very Dangerous.
I won't install that sort of stuf until there s a trigger or Something like that.

ie : like on the 3ds press L at boot, if you don't press L it starts normally.

This is gonna keep happening, people just don't read the warnings.

I'm with the other guy, but I've dumped loadiine completely and am now 100% USB install. I will stay that way until there is a proven safe and reliable solution to take complete control of the console.

I hate owning some equipment and not being able to do what I want with it, but I'm not gonna risk breaking it to achieve that.

I noticed in that page http://www.wiiubru.com/rip/ that Demon1764 bricked his sysNand by installing Monster Hunter 3 update!! So is USB installation risky as well??

No @Yardape8000 did lots of testing with corrupted install files and found absolutely no problems. The reason he reported is incorrect and he must have done something else like install a system title like sys Config tool

I noticed that too.
Anyway, I will play safe and update directly by Wii U

Appreciate the warning. Was reading up on it this morning and I had a feeling i should wait a bit because of brick risk. I want to install it so bad but not price-of-a-new-wiiu bad

If people want to destroy their consoles, let them. If they can't read a simple disclaimer, chances are this thread will go unnoticed by them.
I can't even understand why people are so desperate to use dangerous methods just to avoid extra clicks and a few seconds of waiting.

Question: has anyone ever succeeded in installing coldboothax (aside from smea)? We keep hearing about users bricking after an attempted installation, but are there any known successes? If not, then I really can't comprehend how a person could decide it to be a good idea to try and install coldboothax, but hey, that's just me.
