Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but what does the 3DS use the SD card for?
To explain better, I have a 32GB card that is almost filled to the brim. It has installed titles, updates and DLC, some Virtual Console games, etc. I have about 50MB of spare space left.
I know that DS forwarded games use 512KB of space each for the save file, and that this is stored on the SD. I have calculated that I would need at most 12MB of space for this, so I am good to go.
But what else is the card used for? Will I run into storage space issues if I do not upgrade or delete something? Do games, for example, store data on the SD?
My question applies presuming I do not plan to install anything else, or to update any games or add any other DLC. My intention is to use it with what I have already installed on it thus far.
