So what's the verdict on this game?

I never had any high expectations for this game. Dialogue sounded lousy, Dante looked fucking stupid, etc. Overall the game just looked and felt like a giant try-hard. I was planning on maybe renting the game (Cuz I can't play pirated games on my PS3.) but decided to do some small research first. I found that somehow this game is getting near perfect scores from many prominent gaming review sites (Bribes and shit.). Yet when I ask people who actually played DmC they say it's mediocre or straight up shit. So I'd like the Temp's view on it.

I've pre-purchased it, but i've read there's been some feedback from disgruntled fans of the series saying it's too easy/not challenging enough, and yet the critics love it.

I mean, whatever, i'll still enjoy playing it, i like the series of games.
