Playing crosswords DS and it suddenly froze.

Checked the DSTwo/cart and the MicroSD is no where to be found.

I don't know if this is classic DSTwo story or not, but the SD card slides in/out fairly easy. I just used a 2nd sd cart to test a theory and the DSTwo launched the microSD across the room.

Still can't find my lost SD card :\

I guess this is another advantage Cyclo had.

Never happened to me.
And the concept of a DS acting as a microSD card launcher is just plain funny to me.

If you dislike spring-loaded slots, there was a way to remove the spring in the microSD slot on the R4, maybe it works with the DSTwo.
(And the microSD shouldn't slide in/out easily unless the spring is broken.)

Other alternative: EZ-Flash Vi

It is funny. The problem is I have no idea what direction it launched at, and my livingroom isn't eactly bright and clutterfree.

The worst part isn't losing the SD card. It was a $20 8GB Class 4 Sandisk I had bought 3-4 years ago. It's paid for itself.

However its what was on the card that was important.

Namely my Okamiden, Pokemon, Bleach 2, and Picross 3D saves.

My Acekard launched my microSD across the room once.... and that room was a busy Apple store. It fell behind an iMac and took a while to find. I did the same thing in my house and I didn't find it for a month.

Just be careful when you take out the SD card.

You have to be careful with spring loaded carts. I have to agree with the CycloDS reference. Still my favorite cart. I have two spring loaded carts (DSTWO and DSTT) and two non (CycloDS and WoodR4).

I'm glad the Acekard I just got isn't spring-loaded :P

The spring on mine broke the day I got it, which I had bought when it came out. Works perfectly fine without the spring though.

is it a real dstwo or a clone? i have never had a problem and i never even remove the card from my ds when i remove the sd card ,i just use the ds lite stylus to push it in and apply gentle pressure keeping the tip of the stylus in contact with the edge of the card as it pops out ,no need to keep putting wear and tear on the pins of the flashcard by removing it from the system ,just to access the sd card all the time, on the other hand i have had trouble with my lexar micro sd to sd card adapter that is not spring loaded, some of the cards just slide out of it and dont read cause theyare so loos even when you push them in as far as can go ,so i think the spring mechanisim is much better, other wise the connectors can get loose and need you use a piece of paper ,like a piece of matchbook cover to get it to be tight enough and not fall out

ds2 clone?

all of the spring loaded cards i've used will shoot a micro sd card across the room if the you take your finger off at just the right time. almost lost a few msd cards during my years of beta testing. its not a flaw of the scds2, its just a flaw of the spring loaded design. however, the spring will grip a msd card much more securely than the slide-in (insert same sexual connotation you inserted for rydian's post above) spring-less design. i've had the non spring loaded slots get so bad over time that the card just falls right out, although i doubt the average user will put their msd card in/out/in/out as many times as a beta tester will.

if you want to jump back on the cyclo bandwagon, you are welcome to it.

The only reason I'm not Cycloing was its inability to work on a 3DS, otherwise I'd still be using it. Even after 4 years the SD still fits well without any problems of it falling out, and its been used alot.

I'm well aware of the ievo, though I heard that only M3 zero and DSTwo could firmware patch themselves even on an updated 3DS which is why I don't really have a choice to go back to Cyclo.

I once ate a chocolate bar and it disappeared. I am very disappointed and don't know if this is a common problem with eating chocolates or not. I Guess this is just another advantage pencils have over chocolates.
