in addition I wanted to note, you could make your "loading channel" a hidden channel most likely, much like DVDX....if you just put it in the correct content folder, the one with the 8 in it.

ok i did the same now the dol is starting
but if i start it he is loading something and says ok! but nothing happens

Are you on PAL?
yes i am

Make sure you get the 10000043.app or 10000046.app NOT the 00000043.app or 00000046.app

EDIT: Also try running the channel in the system menu first, and then try auto loading the patched system dol
Am I the only person to actually be missing those files...?
unsure.gif

Seriously, the only files in there are
00000046.app
00000045.app
00000044.app

Any ideas?

No one reads anymore... as Wiigator said the MIOS is fully hacked, the only thing holding gamecube loading back is that gamecube disks use an entirely different disc access mode than wii or dvd. Our current method of loading backups fails with this, so until someone writes a new disc access method that is compatible with GC backups we won't have this feature without a mod chip
At what speed are GC games read?

Any chance you could inject this into a smaller channel - like the menupatcher-lite channel (its only about 260kb) with no banners/sounds??
5.2mb is HUGE for something you never look at
wink.gif

ok

I do not have images for baner

black screen default

yeah, black screen and no sound - that should cut the size right down
thank you for your time & effort

update channel black screen and no sound

356 kb

ok fishears

channel black screen

OK aquilino, I updated the first post for this.

You have to have Waninkokos Custom IOS rev 7 not Wiigators.
That is definitely your problem, install Waninkokos CIOS

I thought I had... but I went ahead and got a different installer and it was different to the one I had...
So now I have the autoloader giving me an Exception on startup :/

I think I have been 2 steps behind the thread all the way

I was still with the dol named as pal.dol then ntsc.dol
and finally it's working as sysmenu.dol ** phew

So just by region patching a game with WIU 1.1 to ntsc/u my region. I can now play an out of region game on my Wii.

Edit: Quantum of Solace(Pal) still has some sound problems, but runs great and Mario Tennis GC (NTSC/J) works prefect.

by region patching it is no longer an out of region game, lol. Hopefully in the next few days we can finally eliminate the need for any type of patching to games.

I'm a psp man still learning the Wii.
Glad I gave you a laugh

no offense meant man. just clarifying for others. and yes i did get a chuckle out of it

As for the QOS sound issue, most say its a limit of the 3x speed of backups, but i've found if you can get a burn of it with a quality of 95% or higher the sound issue no longer exists.
