I don't know which bars you cruise, but they are not FFA placespretty much an online bar

It has happened multiple times, and they were all banned. Point is though there's no need to wait until they snap, if they're expressing favorable views toward fascism then we already know their presence isn't worth tolerating. They don't have anything worthwhile to contribute.point to me one place on gbatemp where someone has threatened assault or murder. i dont look at the political forums but that is not only against the forum rules already but its also against the law in most countries. it may happen on twitter and facebook but if someone did that here i am confident the moderators already have that type of stuff covered. so there is again no need to change moderation here imo. thats hyperbole speak

I will not share the examples I have gotten, but I have gotten both of those threats in the past and not just from Clancy. Of course, those posts were removed and the users have since been banned. People really do not think before they post and that can result in some awful posts going livepoint to me one place on gbatemp where someone has threatened assault or murder.
Knowing Foxi, he only got a slap on the wrist. Foxi doesn't disagree with the sentiment and was only doing his job.You don't see it because the mods deal with it.
There is one particularly nutty person in the politics, who literally said something along the lines of
"We will never give up power to likes of you, even if it means bloodshed"
I am paraphrasing that last half a little, since I am unable to recall the exact wording, but I know just about everything up to the comma is correct, and the word "bloodshed" was absolutely used, and that yes, killing the political opposition was a little more than implied.

You beat me to it, I wanted to say exactly that, and the user somehow was neither banned nor warned.I will not share the examples I have gotten, but I have gotten both of those threats in the past and not just from Clancy. I recall reading some guy posting weird shit in this section, after Trump almost got assassinated in PA. His post were deleted pretty fast, and he got banned.point to me one place on gbatemp where someone has threatened assault or murder. i dont look at the political forums but that is not only against the forum rules already but its also against the law in most countries. it may happen on twitter and facebook but if someone did that here i am confident the moderators already have that type of stuff covered

Threats of violence is something we react to pretty quickly, it’s a big no-no. There’s no *specific* rule regarding threatening behaviour, the assumption there being that anti-social behaviour like that is not accepted anywhere so it doesn’t really need to be stated. The level of punishment depends on a lot of factors specific to the situation since it’s always an on-the-spot judgement call, but as you say, a lot of times it leads to an immediate ban or suspension, it’s just not tolerated.I recall reading some guy posting weird shit in this section, after Trump almost got assassinated in PA.
