Hardware disamble ps3

Hi there,

I had some old ps3 that years ago had a YLOD so i send i to some man that i found online and he could fix it.
I received the ps3 back and he started but after a couple of minutes it did freeze.
So i put it back away and never touched the ps3 anymore.

Now many years later i liked more and more to open the consoles and pc's looking to the hardware on it.
That's why with a little help of youtube i did open this old ps3.
It seems to me that there is one part that is missing on it likely the battery.
So my question is now am i right and so yes is this the problem that the ps3 is freezing?
If yes is there a way to fix it or to find some hardware for this somewhere?

I provide you two pictures of it here also to explain it better. May'be this can help.

Yes, that's the place for the clock battery (and its connector that someone ripped off)

Battery or no battery shouldn't matter for your issue, but if the socket was broken off, who knows what else did that gorilla do?

Problem is most likely your CPU/GPU, not the battery it self.
