In R4 DS one can delete a file off of the SD card by pressing the 'X' button.
Is it possible to disable this feature ?

Thanks

Yeah, I sometimes wish the R4 had a 4th icon or some kind of separate area for management functions to set what features you want enabled or disabled.....though that would wreck all the current themes. The R4 seems to suffer from over-simplicity sometimes.

I can just see some little kid that you set up the R4 for accidentally deleting their favorite game and start crying about it.

I'd rather have a "secret" button combination to get to the management options as opposed to the "secret" button combos to do things like it it is now.

But you know, I deal with what I have. We're getting our games for free, so I'm not fussed. That's why I keep a backup of my entire card ont he hard drive.

i dont think so..

Change file permissions to not allow write or delete permissions for the files you don't want to delete. Though you'll need to allow writing for your .SAVs. Methods to do this vary by computer operating system but usually can be done by right-clicking on a file's properties.

Is there any way to have the R4 also delete the save file as well? Because this feature is kind of worthless if it leaves your SD card filled with abandoned saves.

just hit select (i think) to switch through the different view modes. Find the sav view mode and delete the saves as you would with roms
