Hi All,

I've just purchased a switch with AutoRCM on it. It is banned from Nintendo which is fine as I don't care about playing online.

I have also purchased a jig and an rcm loader dongle.

My question is, is it possible to disable the AutoRCM so that it will boot as normal unless I use the jig?

The reason I ask is it seems to be a bit of a pain as regard properly turning it off and charging from what I have read about it when it is in AutoRCM.

Thanks

Andy

Boot hekate and enable then disable autorcm. That should do the job.
If you are using ams, you don't really have to care about autorcm, as it shutdowns properly. The only time you need your dongle is when you power it on (and have autorcm) if you're using ams.

There is already an answer for that. I can help you with it. Be aware if you had less than 6.0.0 and update to the latest version with ChoiNX and disabled AutoRCM then you will lost it and you are stuck with the latest update. Understand ?

Anyway, I go ahead and copy and paste here for you:

Enabling AutoRCM
AutoRCM is an optional software method of forcing your Switch to go into RCM on every launch, without the need of a jig or hardmod. Essentially, you are purposefully bricking your Switch in a controlled matter that forces it to launch into recovery. This might sound scary but is not actually dangerous, and can be undone at any time.

By doing this, you will need to use a payload sender to boot your Switch after every restart/shutdown.

  1. Enter RCM on your Switch
  2. Push the Hekate payload to your Switch while holding Vol- to skip autoboot and enter the menu
  3. Select ‘Tools > AutoRCM > Enable AutoRCM’
Disabled AutoRCM:

You can disable AutoRCM by entering the same menu above and selecting ‘Disable AutoRCM’.

From now on, to boot into stock firmware, select ‘Launch > Stock’ in Hekate.

Code:
Warning

Shutting down the Switch from custom firmwares other than Atmosphere after booting with AutoRCM will not turn off the Switch! You must choose ‘Power Off’ from Hekate to properly shutdown the Switch. Not doing so will leave your Switch in RCM, slowing draining battery.

Hope it helps! :D

What is ams?

I am having this same problem and booting into hekate doesnt work. Autorcm completley bypasses hekate and boots straight into atmosphere.

That is not possible, Autorcm is only a corruption of the bootloader to enter to rcm can't load anything without sending a payload.
