I think it's time to admit that Tomodachi won't be coming back and will be another one of Nintendo's dead IPs like F-Zero.
there was literally just male and female option in xenoblade chronicles x definitive edition. nintendo would've change it if they want but they didn't. i think you might be overthinking this a little too much
Fair enough, I'm just tired of the culture war stuff and all the fighting between "woke" and "anti-woke".
The question there though is where do they go next? Sakurai himself said that every character returning is a 1 off thing and won't be happening again. And he's even said he doesn't even know if he wants to make another entry.
Doubt it. Metroid is pretty niche. It's nowhere near the popularity of Mario, Zelda or Pokemon.
I don't play Smash Bros but that seems like a collossally stupid idea. Why would Nintendo put SSBU in "backburner mode" then if they didn't ever want to make another game in the series?
According to Sakurai it was a nightmare getting the rights to add all the characters in ultimate and it will just be a one off thing. I'd say it's pretty safe to say all Nintendo-owned characters will return from here on out but some 3rd party won't return.
Well, Nintendo set the bar really high w/ Ultimate's roster.
And we also got another Direct tomorrow, so I'd say we're gonna be eating really good in the following days.
