Hacking Dios Mios question please help

Hey guys, recently ive been playing with my gc backups again and ive been playing luigis mansion and other games and stuff, but when i go to play my retail copy of smash bros melee from the disc channel ill either get to character select menu/stage select menu or a match and play and the game will completely 100% freeze and do nothing, i have no idea what to do i tried reinstalling dios mios v2.10 and i have the same result but other backups work perfectly, please help

It could be a scratched disk. More likely it is a flaw with Dios Mios. I suggest making an image of it and using Devolution.
