I use a Wega CRT with component cables, I don't have usblgx set to force progressive, and when DM loads, depending on the game it may come up a little garbled but 9/10 games shows the GC icon with DIOS MIOS perfectly clear (some games, off the top of my head I can't remember, doesn't show the DM logo at all but still loads the game).
Is your Wega SD or HD? Mine is a KV-27FS120 which cannot handle 480p, so the progressive signal is always messed up. I was interested in getting an HD CRT for a while, as they are a great match for video gaming systems, but found it difficulty to justify the weight.

Did you set your wii itself to progressive in wii options?
You could use usb loader gx and disable the dm progressive patch, so the out put image will always be interlaced.

My wii is set to interlaced. The output on my TV is garbled when set to progressive. I've just tried USB loader GX and disabling the progressive patch doesn't make the splash screen interlaced. Enabling the progressive patch makes the games unplayable as it is in progressive the whole time. I went through all of the video options in DM booter and they don't seem to change the splash screen behavior.

Its not a big deal as it doesn't effect game play, I just didn't know if I was doing something wrong.

Can anyone say if Resident Evil3: Nemesis works for you? I tried dumping PAL and NTSC versions, converted it with DiscEx (t and no t parameter), reinstalled clean BC and MIOS and DM after that. The game gives me random freeze on loads (going from one zone to another) and on the intro if I don't skip it fast enough - typical freeze where game stops on particular frame and speakers make sound of a dying cat. If anyone can confirm or give me a workaround I would be much obliged.

try uncompressing the game, and are you using cheats? some cheats will lock up games badly.....

I was playing it earlier today, yes it works compressed too :)

btw ddetkowski you said Batman Dark Tomorrow works in not compressed? Cause I tried it earlier today compressed and didn't even boot!

I believe the splash screen always displays in progressive if you have component and there is nothing you can do to change it.

You can ask crediar why this is.

Is there a tutorial on building dios mios? I've got devkitpro working and I think its compiling correctly, just not too sure where to go from there.

Anyone have original discs working with the latest DM?

Either from disc channel or from dios mios booter?

I've got a game(Dino Rangers Power Thunder) that when i load from any usb loader and from the dios mios booter all i get is a frozen green screen.
I have default settings on everything and every other GC boots just fine from usb.
Even the original disc will not boot with DM installed.

If i reinstall the original nintendo mios file the disc boots fine.

I have ripped the game using CFG loader and ive also ripped it with clean rip through the HBC.
The iso is good as i have compared its MD5 to redump.org and everything matches.

Any ideas?

Actually, I've noticed on composite on my NTSC system, the splash screen always displays in 60hz even when the game is set to 50hz. This comment makes me wonder if on a PAL system with composite it would always display in 50hz no matter what. I'm just curious.

There's always this
http://gbatemp.net/t...dios-mios-lite/
It tells you what to do with the ELF from the old DML revisions. I don't know if it works the same with the new ones since I understand you still get an ELF and not a WAD when you compile them. You could always try and see what happens.

I was actually wondering that too. I haven't gotten real disk loading working either, just gets stuck on the splash screen. Anyone want to pipe up who has it working? ... or all the people who don't have it working could just all confirm it's not together.

The thing is that the googlecode page, both on the front page seems to indicate that you can but I have no idea how to go about it.

- PADHook patch is now working for retail discs again

I didn't notice that padhook patch thing.

I'll try enabling it and see if the disc boots.

I know dios mios booter keeps an ini file with the settings but if you boot gamecube disc games through a loader or through the disc channel how does it know what settings to use? or does it use the same ini file that dios mios booter uses?

I never use compression for games, no cheats either also no NMM. I only tried with and without 32k align with DiscEx (discex game.iso t - command). As far as DM is concerned the game is pure. I even tried changing cIOSes which boot the loaders hoping it would matter but it still gets freezed on particular moments (eg. intro after the Nemesis is shown when there is a close up on zombies and random loading screens).

hi guys,,, I dont know whats is wrong here,,, I installed DM Lite 1.5 and its working fine. So, I installed same DM lite 1.5 wad to my brother's Wii but, Im getting Loading App Loader... and nothing happens.
its the same wad and sd card.
Any idea???
I reinstalled mios v10 and reinstalled DM lite 1.5 but no results.

At least later DML versions (which DO work with retail disks for me) just use the default settings if booted from the disk channel. Since no one except Crediar actually knows how to compile DM(L) into a WAD those should be the same for everyone but I don't know what they are off hand. Obviously NoDisk is off. I think NMM is, too. If I remember the drive light stayed off the last time I ran DML from the disk channel. It would think it would use either the system language and the system or the disk resolution and no cheats but I can't be sure. The other options don't come to mind immediately.

Tried the padhook settings and it still doesnt boot the original disc.

Also these are the default game settings that dios mios booter creates. It's what i use for all games i play and they all work fine except for the one that only works from official nintendo mios from disc.

Unfortenutelly Dios Mios isn't working with original game disc (wii disc menu).
I also hoped Dios Mios is handling original games like cmios.

The work-around is to install the original mios v.10

Or just boot your original disks through fix94's DML booter. It works that way with Dios Mios too.

I have a question: What's the padhook patch for?

original disc doesnt work for me through the dios mios booter or the disc channel with the latest DM installed.

That's interesting. It used to work for me, I'm pretty sure. I guess the newer builds broke it. That's probably why I can't get Postloader to cooperate either with loading GC disks..E

Edit: Yeah, I just did a test with the very first wad crediar released for 2.X(from June 24) and retail disks still run on that, so between that and the Update 4 wad he uploaded, Gamecube retail disk support was broken. Looks like it was update 2 or 3 that broke it.
