my gc controller stops working once the game loads someone help me :L
Do you have original controllers?
No is that a requirement?
It has been noted that some 3rd party gamecube controllers are incompatible with DiosMios.
Seems you have this problem too.

Mine is a 1st party wired controller and I also have this issue, so I don't think it's related to the type of controller people are using.
Hmm I have wavebird and wired controller 1st party and I never had trouble.

I have also encountered the controller not being usable when using Dios Mios. This was a first party controller and I could not believe it because it used to work in the first release of DM and also DML. How did I fix it? It's funny but I loaded a retail gamecube disc (v5 supports it again) then played a few minutes. I exited and removed the retail gamecube disc and booted usb loader gx and tried the game I loaded from USB again. Controller now Works! This trick was done on 2 Wiis. I hope I don't do anything that will render the controller useless again but the question is: Why did I have to play a retail game for the controller to work in Dios Mios USB? Why does it now work thereafter? I find it very wierd.

v5 fixed retail disc for me to :)

didn't fix the one game that won't load through usb though but i didn't think it would. No big deal that's what i have the retail disc for anyway.

Also i noticed that when playing the retail disc the reset feature doesn't work. Is it supposed to work with retail discs?

I didn't try it with a game from usb on v5 to see if it worked.

For the 16GB you should try formatting it as FAT32 with 32k, 2GB doesn't allow 32k

When i formatting the kingston 16GB with easeus particion magic as FAT32 the cluster size options disappear and set automatically.

I've never used Easeus but if you have Windows try right click computer and click manage then disk management find your drive, right click-format and the option will be there.

@paok4 the slow loading times on twilight princess are an issue which cannot be fixed at the moment. I have my hard drive formatted as FAT32 with 32kb sector size and still experience the slow loading times before cutscenes or in areas where a lot is going on (many enemies on the field or many big objects to load). The only thing we can do is sit and wait for improvements if possible.

EDIT: There is one thing you could try however. Instead of loading the game from usb with Dios Mios, use Dios Mios Lite to load the game from a FAT32 formatted SD Card with a cluster size of 64kb (for usb only 32kb cluster size is supported by Dios Mios). The SD Card should have at least 4GB of space available. This way you might archieve faster loading times, but I can't say for sure

Why are people so obsessed with loading from retail discs? Isn't the whole point of Dios Mios being able to not have to use physical discs? I know that some games need a random disc, but in general, there really isn't a point, it there?

Loading games from USB is not 100% compatible where as playing games from disc will always work.
So its nice to have retail discs working just in case the game doesn't work from USB you can still play it from disc without having to uninstall DM and install the official mios again.

Fair enough explanation.

And Audio Streaming is working :P
You can use DIOS MIOS to use the different options (Force 480p, use Wiird/ocarina, NMM, select language, etc.)
Maybe it can be done without DM? but like he said, you don't need to reinstall the real MIOS.

Thank you guys for your help i'll try all this and i post.

@LinkFan16 Thank you my friend i don't have an idea for this very slow loading times issue for the legend of zelda twilight princess.

Hi all ...

Long time lurker first time poster here ;)

I wanted to let you all know note:
With release 2.0.5 of DM the ability to boot from disc also seems restored for backup discs ... not only retail as mentioned in the changelog.
Just ran a test using the audio streaming games Crazy Taxi, 1080 Avalanche and Starfox Adventures.
(for reference all single game GCOS discs *yeah did that a while back)

Through disc they play with audio streaming :D
(Might be because Im using a Wiikey1 modchip where audio streaming just always worked :))

So have now made a small stack for the audio streaming games ... and the rest plays from the hdd :)

WTF? I thought implementing audio streaming into Dios Mios was deemed impossible, since you're using 96kb to run from USB in the first place....

So let me get this straight, let's say I have Star Fox Adventures.iso on my USB hard drive, I pop in a random gamecube disc (any old disc), boot the game from USB Loader GX, and I get audio streaming!!?

I have one more question guys.

i read guides and i read hundred posts but i can't find where in the settings on usb loader gx or cfx is the DML switch to change it to DM.Can anyone explain to me?

I m sorry if is a stupid question but i'm noob with Dios Mios 2.0
