Hmm.... any chance ( i know the answer is prob no :/ ) this USB loading could make game compatiblity bigger? To me, the only thing that could make this USB loading any better would be to finally have Phantsy Star Online and Goldeneye Rogue Agent working

you'll need one original gc-disc to play some retail gc dml-files you don't need the original gc-disc of the one gc-dml files you play
just one original disc (not allways needed) then play another.

AFAIK, the disc in the drive doesn't have to be an original GC disc. It could be a Wii disc. In my Wii, any DVD works.

Why am I worried that this would mess with running Wii games with ULGX? :(
Anyway looking forward to this :) I hope it will at least fix the ability to run multiple disks, if not fix games that don't work or work with no sound!

haha sux for everyone who spent their money buying huge sd cards that they'll never use again ;)

You know there is a million reason why you need a bigger SD for Wii, worst case scenario, more Roms and Wiiware crap...

Speaking of which, is there a way to run Wiiware games off USB Loader GX?

I thought the whole idea of this is so one doesn't have to use retail discs, but load the backups of them. If you have to have the disc in question in the Wii, what's the point of DML? On top of that, why are they releasing versions that seem to make it so unstable?

That's true, but when not all games run on DML "such as Phantasy Star Online" or some work with issues "Crazy Taxi, Crash Bandicoot" or some require swapping disks "Resident Evil Code Veronica" then you still need a disk somehow!

in the video under the description it states the compatibility is the same as the latest version of dml, only advantage he states is the loading speed

Damn it, you're right, I'll never use it again. Because my camera really couldn't do with a 32 GB card, or my video camera, or my stereo. Wonder how many DS games I could fit on there.

yeah and to say i bought my sd card this week and dm(usb) gets announced

now its just a waiting game. i hope this gets released this weekend, give me something fun to do.

every time i think about i get excited. [willy wonka] he suspense is killing me [/willy wonka]

I think that a weekend release is mostly wishfull thinking.I honestly don't see a release for a couple of weeks...

So.....what can I do in the mean time? How exactly does this work? Do you load through USB Loader GX/CFG USB Loader or what? There has got to be a guide or something that I can follow in order for me to load GCN games.

USB Loader GX R1156 Mod 16

-Original disk support for DML 1.3. If you have a chip installed you can play backups, too.
-New compression format support (GCReEx).

IOS249:
R1156_IOS249_MOD16.zip
IOS222:
R1156_IOS222_MOD16.zip

BR!

Thank you, I'm using this USB Loader for all my gaming, however I got a couple of suggestions if you can add them please:
a- idk if it's possible but could you add support to choose the .dol file we want when running a GC iso? I think this may be a solution for games like Sonic Gems Collection to run without disk!
b- Is there anyway to make it so that you can run Wiiware games you have on the SD using USB Loader?

Also I wanna ask, do cheat codes work with Gamecube too?
