Added, not replaced, the old format still works. As far as I know.

Anyway, you can't run retail disks for the moment, you have to wait for its support again, as crediar has replaced the GameCube's Initial Program Loader with his own.

Can anyone actually test and confirm this as I don't really want to update if I will have to redump all my games again. I would probably want to wait until some of the other features get put back in, too, anyway.

Edit : If it does end up being the case, the ability to batch dump all my ISO's would be appreciated with something like "GCReEx -x *.iso" if that works.

NeoGamma, CFG Loader MOD and Fix94's DML Loader doesn't recognise the new format. :/

Edit: Using DML v1.0, used GCReEx to compress/extract disc image.

File structure set as:
"sd:/games/GameID/root"
"sd:/games/GameID/sys"

Where does it say that game.iso loading got removed? Nowhere!
FST loading got added as it says in the changelog, crediar also listed everything that got removed and game.iso loading wasn't listed right?

How do you get DML v1.0 to work with the new format? As I extracted the files from the disc image using GCReEx and copied them in "sd:/games".

Game.iso loading is not removed. I'm sure of it.
Also, if you want to play (old and new format), I used FIX94's DML_Booter and it worked so...
...Do the other loaders have to be updated, in order touse this version of DML?

Cool, I guess I just misunderstood the "(Note: other tools might NOT work!)" line in the changelog. Is there any advantage to FST loading instead of the old way?

I think the loaders need to be updated to be able to use it.
:ha: You could always try moving the "root" folder to the "apps" folder and see what happens when you run the gamecube boot.dol directly with HBC :P

**Unless you know how to get DML v1.0 working properly... Do Not Update!**
It's recommended to stay with DML r58 for the time being.

Anyway... I'm having problems trying to load games using the old file structure (no-disc) as it freezes within the IPL

Also... don't even try NMM, as that doesn't work at all for the moment!

Tested with CFG Loader Mod and Fix94's DML Loader. Although... NeoGamma seems to work with a disc in the drive though. :/

Hmmm, not such a great update in all......
Also a very short changelog.
Neogamma seems to work with a disc...that's the opposite of the changelog...

Back to stable beta58!

so the new google code page is now hosting DML WADs? I'm assuming they don't include any of the MIOS code anymore, right?

edit: nvm

Note: This .wad has NO nintend code in it! But please do not reupload it, otherwise outdated or even bugged versions would stay online!

2 more questions: (like everyone else, so many questions they can't all get answered at once.)

1: Without the Nintendo code, will eventual retail and/or backup disk loading have the same compatibility level as the games run from the SD?
2: If the download page WAD says v1.0, how do we know which revision's changes (r4 - r7) are included? (I'm asking this for both this and future releases.)

does anyone know how to build the wad? I've got diosmioslite.elf, it's 57k but the wad is a massive 1.5mb.
I take it you compiled it yourself. I guess that would be something good to know for anyone that wanted to make personal changes in global.h, etc.
I'm assuming tacking it back onto a MIOS wad would be wrong.

Anyone else have an idea?
