But... It makes me wonder though, what's going to be in the new edition of DIOS MIOS (Lite)?

I've already asked twice about this and I haven't had a reply at all. The people need a answer of what to except (one of which, will not be USB Loading at all... due to limitations with it running in GC Mode, but they still managed to get front sd slot access working though).

I think "Lite" would be dropped from the name, if USB support was added. Although... there is a work-around but it copies the game to the sd card though from USB.
Yeah, WiiFlow-Mod and Postloader3 do that, I think, just that copy time is a little long . . . Just gotta wait for the Dios Mios Heavy :P but it's theoretically impossible.

No, it is not impossible. In fact, the reason it is called Dios Mios Lite is because the original Dios Mios did just that. What is considered impossible is loading Gamecube games from USB and have Gamecube ARAM support because all USB access has to go through MEM2 which is what the Wii uses to "emulate" Gamecube ARAM. Oh, and I should probably mention that the same thing applies to the Bluetooth hardware as well so don't expect Wiimote/Classic Controller support anytime soon.

Well, as I tried this before its release;
It will be distributed as WADs from now on. The GameCube IPL has been replaced by a homebrew one and now contains nothing Nintendo at all.

Though the version I tried was working, but the one released doesn't work for me.
But it was promising.

Also; I will not release what I have as a matter of respect to the author. It wasn't public at first.

By the way, he made a typo about the version, it's DIOS MIOS Lite 1.0.

EDIT:
Anyway, it might work for you, I could have done something wrong in the loading.

replaced the ELF loader with a homebrew version)
-videomode related config stuff is disabled for now (will be correctly implemented soon)
-improved NoDisc (Note: audio streaming games still need a disc)
-removed IPL related code
-removed retail disc support (will be added back in the near future)
-removed dol loader support (will be added
back in the near future)
-updated the /asm/make.cmd so it no longer requires a user to edit paths

None of my previous working games work.
Black screen upon loading.
What loader did you use?
In my part I used FIX94's DML_booter for the extracted game loading.
USB loader gx and Neogamma.
Are you using Component Cables?
yes, I am.
Should I have to force a video mode?
Now getting a crappy gamecube loader 0.1 screen, with in the bottom written : Pandora 2003.
System hangs....

I think a GUI for GCReEx/DiscEx is needed to:

extract the files from the disc image
rebuild the disc image
convert the same image to the format required for use with DML v1.0

uhm wrong!

you just do gcreex -x game.iso and copy the created folder with the contents to the games folder on the SD card.

Just a thought for completeness:
Maybe back on the original googlecode page someone should upload the DMLr59mod.elf and add it's code. Just a thought.

Actually, the changelog says that "videomode related config stuff is disabled for now"

Edit : a couple of clarifications/questions:
What is FST loading and why was it added?
How are we supposed to not treat these as versions of DML? can we just not use the acronym anymore?
I'm guessing this will need a new compatibility list now, right?

Interesting, does this mean streaming games will now work with audio?

Does this mean we can't run disks anymore?

So... New game format is needed?

I guess I'll pass this for now and just use the old DML until more progress is made, thanks!
