I don't know how dumb my question is, so I gonna make it :P

What's the pratical diference ( when talking about loading gc backups from dvd ) from DML, DarkCorp mios, Cmios, etc?

Which one would be easier/ the best?

I don't want to open a thread about this, but crediar created a new project on google code last september, which is "sd2edit". I have the feeling that this is DML related.
Oh, and he created diosmioslite on Feb 5, 2012

That's strange, doesn't DML already have a googlecode page? So why would he feel the need to create another one?

Dunno what he´s got on his back-hand but I guess it will be a much improved version of DML hence the new googlecode page.

Ok, I installed r48 today and before that I had r44 installed. I have to note a few things:

With r44 (Mario kart running):

Pressing On/off causes wii to shutdown
Pressing reset fades the screen to black and then either freezes the wii or displays a gamecube message that an error has occured and stuff...

With r48 (Mario kart running):

On/off and reset behaves like r44
Using L+Z+Digital-Down+A causes wii to reset
Using L+Z+Digital-Down+B causes mario kart to return to the "press any key to start" screen

I have a white wii with 4.2E and a d3-2 drive. My SD card is a 2GB Sandisk and never had any issues with that.
I have priiloader 0.7 installed with some hacks but I don't know if that is related. Lastly, I have to note that although most of the times my gamecube games start fine, from time to time running a game causes two vertical stripes to appear on the left side of the screen and the wii freezes.

I'd be glad to provide any details if anyone wants to look into it.

Ok, I installed r49 and this is what happens (mario kart running):

Pressing On/off causes wii to shutdown
Pressing reset the first three times returns to the start screen, after the third time it displays "An error has occurred. Turn the power off..."
(on ikaruga the above error message is displayed the first time you press reset)

As for the key shortcuts ... they work as expected!!!

Going back to my previous query, if NMM is still unstable... then why, is it available on the google-code download list? :/

Speaking Of NMM, following the history and the release of crediar, the last one NMM 0.2a has more compatibility than this one implented in DML.

from the read me text:
Game Compatibility
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here a short list of games I've tested personally so you can verify that
your setup is working.

I'm sure people will set up a real list somewhere online.

Working:
Zelda:WW
Zelda:Four Swords
Mario Kart Double Dash
Super Mario Sunshine
Xtreme G 3 (Hold A to save/load/create)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

Not Working:
Super Smash Bro. Melee (freeze on file creation)
Eternal Darkness
F-Zero GX (does work until after the name select)
Timersplitters 2
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Soulcalibur 2

For who he know and can clarify the matter: Can we install NMM to an ios, than launch a ''clean'' rev of DML??? Can this work??

Thank you & sorry for my NOOBness :ha:

DML installer is great but it can be improved by adding the ability to select the DML file to install especially that we have seperate versions for cheats and NMM and different compatibitilties in different releases.
Maybe this won't be needed if we have a DML with autocheats and autoNMM support.
Thank you for the hard work.

Going back to my previous query, if NMM is still unstable... then why, is it available on the google-code download list? :/
because we can ;)

and it is stated on googlecode that release is unstable.
If it were possible, could the actual code be ported over from the stand-alone version of NMM to make it a bit more stable?

Also... how is adding reset and power commands to the NGC controllers going to improve anything? It's just a lazy feature (unless there is a way to have the console instantly boot DML from the controller, instead of using the wii remote and going through everything as normal). :/

Maybe this won't be needed if we have a DML with autocheats and autoNMM support.
That would be a fantastic idea, but I'd like to suggest two things to that: the choice to switch either of the added features on/off using any chosen loader and to suggest my previous idea from a while back: Auto detection of Memory Cards. If present, NMM would be disabled to avoid possible corruption.

Someone wanted it as it looks like it was requested by someone who made a donation, quote from the change log:

As requested, console reset/power off via controller added. Thanks for the donation!

I suggest if you want NMM support improved you should make a donation
