Personally, I'm loving the new feature to shut off and reset the Wii right from my controller.. literally loving it, I know it's a lazy feature but damnit sometimes I don't wanna get off my bed to do it :ha: it's nice to shut off and roll the f**k over :yay:.

As far as devs working together I love the idea of MegaZig and Crediar working together, however I understand the complexity of developing any project with a partner and seeing eye to eye and having respect for each others work goes hand in hand and isn't always very easy to do, when people want to do things differently.

For me I hope that maybe they'll chose to do so, if not well so be it, I don't love Pokemon that much lol :P but it would be nice hehe.

As far as the list goes for improvements:

1. 2 Disc auto swap/load support would be lovely. (Only one I truly care about)

2. Pokemon game support - Honestly everyone has at least played one freaking pokemon game.. and loved it lol.

3. NMM Support (Not that important with an SD Gecko or a 1059 official ninty card on ebay found for $15 USD.)

4. No Disc loading support -- don't really care either but helk if it can be done why not-- for those who see it as a vital part of the experience why not donate and request it. Although it's stated he won't do it, i don't see why he wouldn't if we shell out our hard earned cash to see it done for the end user. I would hope he would change his mind.

All in all DML has gone far and beyond my wildest expectations and if Crediar and WiiPower were women I'd do filthy things to them lol! Thanks guys.

Why don't we have something like a poll wherein we vote what feature we want added and then crediar sets a donation quota like he did for the release of "New and improved DML" that we are enjoying now and when we meet the amount, he concentrates on that?

My personal "Wish list":
1.) 2 Disc support with Key combination "swap" button (Z+L+R+Start+Left Dpad for example).
Requirements:
-Both games must be in the same card (2 GB might not be an option unless both games work "shrinked")
-the folder name of the 2nd disc has "_2" for it to be detected as the 2nd disc of a game. The key combination will also not be activated if it does not detect a 2nd disc, so pressing it will have no effect.

2.) Pokemon Games and other non-working titles to be playable.

Nice to have but not necessary:
- NMM perfectly working (I have no problem with using GCN Memory Cards, i love the official ones)
- Classic Controller to be used as Gamecube controller (I also love my Official GCN Rumble-Enabled Controllers, more than my Wave Bird)

Don't need to be fixed IMHO:
- Audio Streaming. As long as the games work even without the Audio that's ok. If you really want to play the game that bad then buy the Original Disc. Heck even my WODE can't do it and I PAID for that.
- No Disk in drive. AFAIK, once the game boots, the motor stops so it doesn't strain your drive. Everyone has at least 1 ORIGINAL Wii or GC game right(even if it doesn't need to be legit)? So Why not use it?

I Love the gamecube and I must say I used to dream about the existence of a software like DML and, for the longest time, was holding off buying a WODE because DIOS MIOS (the USB Starfox Assault playable version) was released. I only gave in to buying one when the limitations were explained by Crediar himself. I must say though, this is one fine software that Crediar and Wiipower have given us and in the event that R49 is announced as the last version ever, I wouldn't be disappointed at all. Like the USB Loader by Waninkoko, DML is one of those "dream come true" apps. Kudos to you guys! And to the others: Stop whining and just enjoy what we have right now.

Forget about Classic Controller compatibility people, since I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. It's way easier to just go and buy a GCN controller instead of patching the PAD related commands in the games and reenabling the BlueTooth Module - DML is already modifying a lot of stuff in their data to get them to work, and more code means more use of memory, which is very limited, afaik.

- No Disk in drive. AFAIK, once the game boots, the motor stops so it doesn't strain your drive. Everyone has at least 1 ORIGINAL Wii or GC game right(even if it doesn't need to be legit)? So Why not use it?

Because not everyone has a working drive. I have many friends that would like to try out DML, but they can't because of that requirement.

Of course I would like to see 2-disc game support and some improvements in compatibility.

But I want to be able to run compressed some games that can only run with 1:1 original ISO(Geist,Kirby Air Ride etc.) As we could not use HDD,every free space in our SD card is precious. :)

That's an adorable wish list you've all posted here. Those are all features and improvements mentioned in the first post, and there is no fix to audio streaming.

LWares87 while I doubt you've realized it, you seem to have volunteered to be the representative voice of the taker collective. You probably haven't thought about it from this angle, but you're complaining about something that you take for free. That's pathetic. We both know you'd do better to just keep your mouth shut. You cannot expect, because you do not deserve anything.

You want to know how many donations there were requesting improvements to NMM?

*drum roll*

ZERO.
It's been a month since I posted that thread.
Actually, you know what? You've stated that you prefer to "wait patiently," but with everything you've posted regarding DML thus far, you don't strike me as the type of person who has attained the discipline for patience. So, I'll do you one better and give you a choice. I'd have to assume that most here would still consider you a jackass, but I'll try and offer at least a little redemption. I'm going to PM you a specific phrase. When I receive word that YOU have donated including that phrase, I will drop whatever my 'lazy' ass is doing, and will personally put forth the time and effort to update the svn with a feature that you've mentioned previously. One that you have not deemed lazy.

I'm more than a little curious what choice the legion of freeloaders following this thread are rooting for you to make.

RadicalR, I want to thank you again. You're likely to be one of the few good people left in this den of thieves.

But I Don't really think that $10 would motivate crediar to make any of that improvements, would it?
Why wouldn't it? The amount is irrelevant.. it's the principle. It's the act. Like I said in my post, if you use it, give what you can.
The most apt analogy I can think of is a church collection plate. (yea I'm aware how blasphemous and just wrong it is to use a faith as a comparison to 'grey area' homebrew software, but I've been an atheist for 10+ years and it's the best I can think of, so screw it. =P )
Almost all of you have chosen to pass it along. Some like JoostinOnline and LWares87 seem to think it appropriate to stand up and scream at the pastor..honestly I don't know who the hell you think you are to question or judge what specifically motivates anyone to work on anything. What you all need to keep in mind is that without that plate, the church will stagnate.

This is something I've been very interested in, not only because I'm a fellow lazy ass :P, but also because it helps when you are testing games.
So how on earth do you do use that feature?

Just use the following button combinations:

L+Z+DPad Down+A to power off
L+Z+DPad Down+B to reset the console

This is awesome, I can't believe I missed it.
I hope this doesn't accidentally kick me out of any games, but it seems like a very unlikely button combination for GCN games, given how little the D-pad is used as an action control.

Thanks for the tip and to MassiveRican for making me aware of it.

Edit: Is there any way to hook the reset back up to the Wii Menu or the loader, instead of an actual reset?

I don't think that's possible since the console can't switch from "gamecube mode" back into "wii mode" as far as I know (the reason for this being that certain hardware parts cannot be used when in "gamecube mode"). However I'm no expert so I might be wrong.

That was my first guess but seeing as DML can access the SD card slot in GCN mode, it is no always clear to me what is possible and what isn't.

The issue isn't that hardware is locked out, but that the processor is down-clocked by BC when it starts up MIOS. We would need something that would run when the reset button was pressed that would reset the CPU to its normal speed, and then reload a normal IOS.

Ok, I'll make the donation in behalf of Joostin and Lwares. This way they can shout all they want :)

NMM isn't crucial, if you already have a Memory Card. Although... NGC Memory Cards aren't widely available in the United Kingdom, anymore. As anything to do with the NGC was completely phased out by major retailers to make way for the Wii.

@[member='Burton']: how much are you thinking of donating on behalf of myself and joostin? As I'm sure, we can discuss some sort of private arrangement. At the end of the day, it's your choice.

Umm yes they are and they're not expensive either:

You can buy a mem card to bypass the need of NMM or you can donate your money for possible further NMM development.
At the end of the day NMM remains one of the greatest achievements in the Wii scene and should be supported imo.

I didn't actually mention on-line retailers, but it isn't like they are mass produced anymore.

Just a recommendation the 128MB Datel card is a good affordable one and it's from a company that you can trust.

It's like I said, NMM is only useful if you need it and your console supports NGC games.

About
how can I play gc pal games on my wii ntsc console? Is there anyone willing to tell me how to do it as all I get is a black screen and I see that most persons can play games from different regions with no problems.

I don't myself have any out or region games but i'm guessing that this is something to do with video mode patching. I think there was some issue with DML not liking it when you force a video mode, most loaders will let you set the video mode to auto select the region of the disc, this should work provided your tv can display the output.

I'm sure there must be someone out there who knows more about the video mode issue and can help you
