Who has black screen problems with postLoader, can give a try to v. 3.60.3...

http://code.google.c....3.60.3.dol.zip

Please report if something is changed ;)
Tested, still doesn't work with r22-30 (atleast not for me), but r21 still works!
I'm starting to think it is a SD card compability problem (I'm using a Lexar 2GB), but still it's strange when it work with r21, has anything being changed in this matter since r21? I don't have another SD card or SDhc card so maybe someone else can try this out and see if they stuble upon anything.

Here is my wii system info and the dm.log for the PAL game Zelda Four Sword ("fstfix t")
Wii System
  • PAL Wii (SM4.3E) on REAL NAND
  • DML r30 + Orginal Wii Disc Game in drive (Wii Fit)
  • Orginal Gamecube controller and memory card
  • Lexar 2GB SD (FAT/64kb)
  • Component cables

I just compiled and tested again but it's still the same.

22 - Blackscreen
23 - Blackscreen
24 - Blackscreen
25 - Blackscreen
26 - Blackscreen
27 - Blackscreen
28 - Looses Video Signal (No audio either, so game isnt running in background)
29 - Blackscreen
30 - Blackscreen

Rev 21 is the last one which works for me, i've tried loading through NeoGamma, Postloader, Wiiflow.
Deleted any files created by DML when switching versions, got a working BC v6 installed and reinstalled just to rule that out.
PAL Wii with component cables on a HDTV so any video mode the wii outputs should be fine for me.
EDIT Using a 16gb class 4 sandisk sd card formatted to FAT32 with 64kb clusters.

No idea what else to try.

I tried that build just now with Rev30 but still just a black screen :(

Same problem and setup here (except I'm using a Lexar 2GB SD (FAT/64kb))..

The same setup here, also using a 2GB SD at the moment, works perfectly :D

You say it's the same but could you please be more specific just to help us figure out why it does for some and not for others.
What region is your wii? What typ of Video cable do you use? What model is your SD card? What TV do you use? Do you use shrinked games or other tools than DiscEX (ex fstfix)? What games and what region? What loader do you use (version/revision). Have you tried any other revisions other than r30 and did these work?

So... Right now, nothing.

2GB microSD card (on an adapter) with about 15KB/s of loading speed, FAT16 64k clusters, r22-r30 doesn't work.
Using Progressive Cables on an Europe Wii (3.4E) on a HD TV, games are 32k aligned with fstfix.
Loaders tested: Neogamma (b56) and WiiFlow.

And also: Can't run any original GameCube game with r30.

My wii is PAL, set to 480p, component cable to a LG HDTV.
SD card is a integral sd 2gb. EDIT: filesystem is FAT32, most likely a 4k cluster size, still working though ;)
Both isos is extracted with discex -c, luigis mansion and paper mario, both ntsc.
The loader in use is neogamma 9, beta 56.
New super mario bros in drive
All revisions i've compiled since r21 have been working fine, at r30 now.

After reading all the entries here now recently, I think it looks like SD/SDHC or filesystem compatibilities has changed since r21. I think it is this that complicate it for us who have encountered problems with the "black screen" with the recent versions. Perhaps someone more familiar / knowledgeable is willing to investigate further.
These are my thoughts on it and I can of course be totally wrong.

Edit:
Q - Does anyone have DML r22-30 working on a FAT(FAT16) drive`?
(NOT a FAT32 drive)
Update:
A - Yes they have

Good, so I got all working flawless on first approach ;P

Using my Wii 4.3J
Installed DMLr30.wad on real nand
running GC games through latest Wiiflow
games are discex´ed on a Sandisk 16gb Sdhc class 4 Fat 32/ 64kb clusters
Original GC games works from disc drive
Wii connects with component cables to component switcher-> hdpvr-> TV

Do you have an old SD card laying around maybe you could try with a FAT formated drive to see if that works aswell? ;)

wii pal 4.1e
transcend 8gb sdhc class 6 4 Fat 32/ 64kb cluster
securedigital 1gb sd Fat 32/ 64kb cluster
kingston 2 gb mini sd Fat / 64kb cluster
samsung 1gb micro sd Fat / 64kb cluster

r21 testet mario party 4 pal, mario golf pal, mario power tennis pal, mario kart pal and chibi robo pal and the games are running, not perfect, but good, only mario party 4 makes a lot of problems.
r26 - r30 testet same games, but all have black screen.
loaders are - NeoGamma R9 beta 56,postLoader 3.59.3 and 3.59.4,WiiFlow r418

the games are testing from sd/sdhc,not from dvd.

is the problem 4.1 and its run only with 4.3,or the older from the wii console.i don't no,but i hope,i have can helping some people with the black screen problem.

Argh, still not working! this is pretty annoying...
Wonder whats causing this incompatibility :/

for me, r21 works. r25~r30 black screen, no audio even

my wii:
3.2J soft-mod to 4.2U, bootmii as boot2
hard-mod (D2C or something like that) when purchased a few years back
ios are up to date according to modmii 6.0
8G kingston micro SD, FAT32 64k
composite/component cable 480i NTSC

game tested is skies of arcadia legend USA with phantasy stars 1&2plus in drive (yes, I am playing it flawlessly via Neogamma 9 r56 probably because of the hard-mod)
also tried with a wii game backup in drive, still the same
loaders tested are Neogamma 9 r56 and postloader

btw, sneek never worked for me.

I am thinking if it was the hard mod or D2C drive causing the problem?

@[member='IceIceBird']
is your wii hard-modded? what chips?

at first it did not worked for me ( had wiiflow mod on usb) and then i putted the wiiflow mod also on the sd card (32gb)(disconnected my usb drive) and put 1 wii game in the wbfs folder and voila it works

USE discex -c -a for all games. Format and after copy in ONE TIME all the games!

DMLr30[MIOS-v10].wad = MD5: c3b53b5b214b7feb8650361c0db6953c (created with create_wad.bat by FIX)

DMLr30 works great for my:

Wii 4.3U
BootMii in boot2
BCv6
NeoGammaR9beta56
Composite video.
Lexar 2GB SD Card (maybe class 2)
FAT16 format 64KB cluster
Games only shrunken with DicEX's -c command.
